La China imposible

Sabiamos que comunicarse en China iba a ser dificil, pero nadie nos habia avisado que si entrabamos por la provincia de Xinjiang iba a ser el doble de complicado! Aqui no solo hablan mandarin sino tambien Uigur (que usa el alfabeto arabe). Y no solo hay un uso horario sino que se manejan dos. La hora de Beijing y la de la provincia de Xinjiang, asi que despues de sudar tinta china para enterarte a que hora sale el bus, resulta que llegas dos horas antes porque era hora de Beijing y no local y uff... un lio. Pero aqui estamos divertidos. Se nos ha unido un Canadiense que se ha recorrido 110 paises en bici, un chalado maravilloso, vamos! En China ha estado varias veces.
Sobre los Uigurs escribire otro dia mas. Todos sabemos de los Tibetanos pero nadie de esta region de Kazaks y Uzbeks que fueron absorbidos o invadidos por la China de Mao. A que se debe nuestra ignorancia?A que son musulmanes? A que no tienen un Dalai Lama? A que parece rusos y no son tan exoticos?
Siento hablar del tema con un poco de ligereza pero la verdad es que estamos mareados. Cuantas mas vueltas das menos sentido le ves al problema de siempre. Nos llevamos peleando miles de anyos por tierras, de unos a otros, nacionalismos, imperialismos, colonialismos. Cuando ganara el sentido comun y el amor a los semejantes a la avaricia? Podremos llegar a borrar las lineas? Cuanto mas nos tendremos que mezclar y remezclar para darnos cuenta de que todos somos iguales?
Pero volvamos a las dificultades idiomaticas que es las que lo hacen mas divertido. Es como jugar al pictionary todo el dia. La gente es encantadora, no se cansa nunca (menos mal) y llaman a amigos, vecinos y primos para que nos ayuden. Lo malo es que lo que hacen para aclararnos la duda es volver a escribir en chino! Con mejor letra, mas despacito... pero otra vez en chino! La logica es distinta. Es dificil de explicar pero si. EL signo de suma no significa adicion. Dos personas juntas en una habitacion signo de igual y el precio, no significa que ese es el precio de una habitacion doble... es para volverse loco! Pero confesamos que estamos muy muy intrigados por entender la manera de funcionar de la cabeza de la gente de este lado del globo.
Lo del vegetarianismo tambien se complica. Les dibujo pollos, vacas, corderos y los tacho, y tomates y lechugas felices y les digo que si con la cabeza. Se rien, dicen que me entienden y llegan con platos llenos de carne.
A ver hasta donde somos capaces de llegar! Hoy de momento nos hemos levantados a las 6 de la manyana para un bus que salia a la 1 del mediodia y no habiamos entendido...
