Pai

Pai is a little village by the ancient mountains across northern Thailand, Myanmar and Southwest China where Yunnanese trading caravans of mule-driven carts once followed the mountain ridges all the way to the sea. Later, the independent state known as Lanna Thai (Million Thai Rice Fields) emerged here and to the day traits of the distinct northern culture remain.
I travelled around to waterfalls and hill-tribes villages (Karen, Lisu and Lahn) but I have decided to skip Mae Hong Song. I got quite motion sick on my way up here and the road is supposed to be hell. Freaking curves...
Children playgrounds are pretty tribal here.
(the pic of the pink bra doesn't really go... but i kind of like it.)
Ah... HAPPY THANKSGIVING to the ones on that side of the world!
